If you don't like lovey dovey you won't like this!

I am so in love with my husband. I know I know he is my husband so I am supposed to love him. But he really is my everything! Everyday I am so amazed at how patient he is with me and how caring he really is. He loves me no matter what and I know it! I am so thankful to know that my husband loves me. Some people are unsure of their other half's affections but everyday Devin shows me how much I mean to him.

For example: It was right after we got Lucy and she was being loud at night and neither of us were getting much sleep. I got home before Devin one day and I was getting dinner ready. I had a really bad head ache so I put dinner in the oven and went up to our loft to rest. Devin came home and he had brought me a PINK snap dragon plant :-) (For some reason I like snap dragon plants because they are fun! I don't remember telling Devin that I liked these but he remembered!) He saw that I wasn't feeling well so he told me to take a nap and that he would finish dinner. Its the little things like that that show me that he loves me and that make me fall even more in love with him all the time. He didn't have to remember that I like snap dragons and he didn't have to finish dinner or let me take a nap but he did!

There is a quote that I had posted on our fridge that we got in Sunday school that I adore and it explains my sweet husband's attitude toward our marriage completely!

"In the enriching of marriage the big things are the little things. It is a constant appreciation for each other and a thoughtful demonstration of gratitude. It is the encouraging and the helping of each other to grow. Marriage is a joint quest for the good, the beautiful, and the devine." -Elder James E. Faust

I can honestly say that I love Devin more and more everyday that we are together! I am so grateful for him and all he does. I am so thankful for our marriage and for the blessing it has been to me.

I couldn't imagine my life being any other way. Yes Devin and I have our bumps in the road like everyone else but it is the want that keeps us going. We want our marriage to last and we are willing to put in the work to make it so. I hope to be as good a wife to Devin as he is a husband to me. He is my best friend and I love him and only him for forever!

Spring has Sprung

Spring/Summer is a frustrating time for me shopping wise. There is hardly ANYTHING that is modest and all the modest stuff is made for old ladies... don't get me wrong I love modesty but its just so frustrating to want to buy cute new spring time clothes and all you can find is hoochie mamma stuff. This is why lately I have been obsessed with shoes and makeup :-) Because they always look good and always fit! I have found a few bathing suits I want to get before we head off to Hawaii.

These are the shoes I WILL be buying this week :-) I have been obsessing over them for weeks now! That must mean that I have to have them right? I did buy some cute new pink reef's today that I LOVE! They are so fabulous!

Lucy in the sky

Lucy goosey update! She is doing well and growing a ton! Our friends Luke and Amber let us borrow some doggy clothes and we put Lucy in the cutest dress ever! (Pictures to follow). My parents are in Argentina right now so Maggie is staying with us for two weeks. She is getting a little more comfortable with Lucy and I am sure they will be best friends soon!

Devin and I are looking forward to going to Hawaii and getting a much needed vacation! Also we are looking forward to our tax refund haha so we can finish furnishing our house. Last week we had our friends Britney and Tom over for dinner (they are getting married in 2 weeks!!!) And it was so fun! We had a nice dinner and played apples to apples. My favorite part was when we were all reading our cards that are supposed to describe us... one of Devin's was "dead" hahaha! But Tom's was the best... he said "I am fragrant!" Haha! I guess you had to be there but it was funny.
